Powerful but not very mobile winger. Played an abrasive type of hockey which earned him the nickname “Бык” (Bull).
Started ice hockey at ten. A natural born leader from an early age who had great authority in the dressing room.
Soviet/CIS champion 1991 and 1992 with Dynamo Moscow.
Best forward of the B-pool World Championships and Belarus player of the year in 1996.
Belarusian player of the XXth century according to a poll from newspaper Pressbol.
81 games with Belarus national team, 63 points (25+38).
Retired in 2005 and became a KHL coach for Dinamo Minsk.

Ailier puissant mais peu mobile. Son hockey rude lui a valu le surnom de “Бык” ("Taureau").
Il a débuté à 10 ans à Minsk. Leader naturel depuis son plus jeune âge, il avait une grande autorité dans le vestiaire.
Champion d'URSS (de CEI) 1991 et 1992 avec le Dynamo Moscou.
Designé joueur biélorusse de l'année et meilleur attaquant du Mondial B en 1996.
Élu joueur biélorusse du XXe siècle d'après un sondage du journal Pressbol.
1 match de NHL avec Chicago (sans point). 81 sélections en équipe du Bélarus, 63 points (25+38).
Après sa retraite en 2005, devenu entraîneur du Dynamo Minsk puis de plusieurs équipes russes de KHL.
