Born and raised in Riga. Spent two seasons in North America (2014-2016) before moving back to Latvia.
Huge size (194cm/6-4). Very useful in the slot. Not afraid of physical play.
Hard worker and a coachable player. Good leadership qualities. Excellent puck protection.
Decent on-ice vision and ability to give good pucks. Good straight-ahead speed for his size.

Né et formé à Riga jusqu'en 2014, il a passé deux années juniors aux États-Unis (NAHL) avant de revenir en Lettonie.
Son gabarit énorme (194cm) et son absence de crainte du jeu physique le rendent très utile dans le slot.
Facile à entraîner, il travaille dur et mène par l'exemple. Excellente protection de palet.
Doté d'une vision du jeu respectable, il sait bien distribuer le jeu. Il va vite quand il est lancé.
