Talented but diminutive center. Gritty and determined player. His small size prevented him from being drafted in the NHL, although he was signed as a free agent by Los Angeles Kings in 1988.
Moved to Europe and spent 20 seasons there until his retirement in 2009. Quickly acquired Italian citizenship due to his origins and represented Italy for more than hundred games.
Very good skater with an aggressive style of play. Described as a "bulldog" on the ice, collecting more than 3,000 penalty minutes in his playing career.
Sympathic fellow off the ice. Worked as a policeman in his native Ontario after his playing career. Scored 1383 (617+766) career points in 1320 career games.

Centre râblé, plein de talent, acharné et déterminé dans le combat. Malheureusement trop petit pour être retenu dans les drafts NHL, bien que les Kings l'aient fait signer comme agent libre en 1988. Restera cantonné à l'AHL.
Quitte donc l'Amérique du Nord en 1989 pour passer vingt saisons (sauf une) en Europe jusqu'à sa retraite à 43 ans, en 2009. Passe d'abord par l'Italie dont il acquiert vite la nationalité grâce à ses origines. Jouera plus d'une centaine de matches pour la Squadra.
Son jeu agressif et rapide lui valut le surnom de "bouledogue" sur la glace. Surnom mérité, il a accumulé plus de 3000 minutes de prison en carrière.
Transfiguré sur la glace puisqu'il était très sympathique hors de celle-ci. 1383 points (617+766) en 1320 matches. Devenu policier dans l'Ontario.
