He started playing hockey in his native Vimperk. He first emerged as a talented junior in HC Český Krumlov.
After a five-year stint in HC České Budějovice he joined HC Oceláři Třinec in 2012.
In Třinec he formed a strong goaltending tandem with Slovak national goalie Peter Hamerlík.
Impressive save percentage in the Czech league : 92,7 (2013), 92,5 (2014), 92,4 (2015), 91,4 (2016), 93,1 (2017), 92,8 (2018), 92,2 (2019).
In 2019 he led Třinec to a league title and was chosen as the playoff MVP.
Goaltender with incredible reflexes, fast lateral movements and never giving up on a play.
Lifted the Gagarin Cup when he became KHL champion with Avangard Omsk in 2021.
