Fourth player in history to score a goal in World juniors, Olympic tournament and World Championships the same year.
When the cancelled World junior championships were replayed in the summer, he scored again and it was even a "lacrosse goal".

Jim Camazzola était son entraîneur en pee-wee à Port Moody, avant qu'il ne parte à North Vancouver à 13 ans.
Faible gabarit (185 cm, 76 kg) qui se doit de prendre du poids pour espérer durer en LNH.
Ce défaut mis à part, c'est un centre de haut niveau, qui fait paraître faciles les gestes techniques les plus difficiles.
Rusé, créatif, très intelligent et particulièrement spectaculaire, parfois presque trop pour certains de ses entraîneurs.
Il sait créer la panique dans le camp adverse par ses changements de vitesse tout en aidant ses équipiers à se démarquer.
Quatrième joueur de l'histoire à inscrire un but aux Mondiaux juniors, aux Jeux olympiques et aux championnats du monde la même année.
Quand les championnats du monde juniors annulés ont été rejoués l'été, il a encore inscrit un but... et ce fut même un but de lacrosse en portant la rondelle sur sa palette.
