André Malo was born and raised in Canada.
He eventually came to Great Britain in the mid 1980s, got a British passport and enjoyed a 17-year playing career there.
Played his first national team game on November 4, 1992 against Denmark. Scored a goal but suffered a knee injury.
Went under the nickname "the raging bull" because of the way he used to make long attacking dashes at the opposition.
Scored 1142 (341+801) career points in 862 games. Retired in 2003.
After his playing career he went on teaching children at Whitehouse Farm Primary School near his home in Stockton.

Il arriva en Grande Bretagne en 1986, obtint un passeport britannique et y joua 17 ans.
Lors de sa première sélection internationale le 4 novembre contre le Danemark, il marqua un but mais se blessa au genou.
Il gagna le surnom de "taureau enragé" du fait de ses chevauchés folles aux devants des adversaires.
Il a inscrit 1142 (341+801) points en 862 matchs dans sa carrière. Retraité en 2003.
Après sa carrière il devint instituteur au sein de la Whitehouse Farm Primary School près de son lieu de vie à Stockton.
