Comes from a family with great hockey pedigree.
His paternal grandfather Marcel Pronovost played more than 1300 NHL-games, won five Stanley Cups and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
His great uncle André Pronovost played more than 600 NHL-games and won four Stanley Cups.
Another great uncle, Jean Pronovost played more than 1000 NHL games, and a third great uncle, Claude Pronovost also played in the NHL.
On top of that his sister Élizabeth represented Canada at the winter universiade.
Natural goal-scorer with great size and instincts. Good skater for a big winger.
Great hand/eye coordination. Able to play at both wing positions.
Only average defensively and a bit inconsistent, taking shifts off in his younger days.

Il vient d'une famille de hockeyeurs.
Son grand-père paternel Marcel Pronovost a joué 1340 matchs en NHL, a remporté cinq Coupe Stanley et figure au Temple de la Renommée.
Son grand-oncle André Pronovost, qui a joué 626 parties en NHL, et a gagné quatre fois la Coupe Stanley.
Son autre grand-oncle, Jean Pronovost a joué 1033 matchs en NHL, et un troisième oncle, Claude Pronovost a aussi joué en NHL.
En plus de cela, sa soeur Élizabeth fut sélectionnée avec le Canada pour les Jeux universitaires d'hiver.
Buteur naturel avec des bons instincts et une bonne taille. Bon patineur pour un ailier massif.
Une bonne coordination oeil/main. Capable de jouer sur les deux ailes.
Un peu juste défensivement et un bon inconstant, il faisait l'impasse sur quelques présences dans ses jeunes années.
