Le Polonia n'était champion que dans les années paires ? Il ne veut plus attendre deux ans cette fois et défend son titre. L'attaquant-vedette Jerzy Christ est certes parti à l'intersaison pour un premier contrat à l'étranger (il fait monter Zurich en LNA), mais le gardien international Gabriel Samolej est arrivé en même temps de son club formateur Podhale. Le club de Bytom reste donc le meilleur du championnat dans tous les compartiments du jeu.
