Two-time Swedish league champion with HV 71. Physically big goaltender who flopped around the crease and didn’t have any particular finesse, but he stopped the pucks on most nights and that was all that mattered.
Represented Sweden 25 times. Retired in 2005 after doctors told him that his knee was in such a bad shape that they recommended him to retire. Worked as a thatcher.
Played 501 Elitserien games and finished with a 3,08 GAA and a 88,35 SV%.
Died at 54 during vacation. His son Filip Ahl became an ice hockey forward.

Deux fois champion de Suède en 1995 et 2004 avec HV 71. Très costaud, sans finesse particulière quand il s'écroulait devant son but, mais il laissait la plupart du temps passer un minimum de palets. On ne lui en demandait pas plus.
25 sélections en Tre Kronor. Parti à la retraite forcée en 2005, à tout de même 36 ans, tant l'état d'un ses genoux préoccupait les médecins. Devenu couvreur.
501 matches d'Elitserien sur une moyenne de 3,08 buts encaissés et un pourcentage d'arrêts de 88,35%.
Boo est mort à 54 ans pendant ses vacances dans les îles Lofoten. Son fils Filip Ahl a fait carrière comme attaquant.
