Began skating and playing ice hockey at the age of four. His first club was in Bled.
Played in four World Junior Championship tournaments (Div.1).
At the 2007 World Junior Championships he formed a line with Jan Urbas and Boštjan Goličič.
At the 2009 World Junior Championships he formed a line with Anže Ropret and Boštjan Goličič.
Made his debut for the senior national team in April, 2011 and scored his first goal in his fifth game, a 2-0 win against France (goal vs Cristobal Huet), thus earning him a spot for the WC team.
At the 2014 Div.1 World Championships, he helped Slovenia earn a promotion.
He played on a line together with Tomaž Razingar and his old sidekick Boštjan Goličič.

A commencé à patiner et jouer au hockey à l'âge de 4 ans. Son premier club était à Bled.

Aux championnats du monde junior 2009, il formait une ligne avec Anže Ropret et Boštjan Goličič.
Il fait ses débuts avec l'équipe nationale senior en avril 2011 et marque son premier but dans le cinquième match, une victoire 2-0 contre la France (but contre Cristobal Huet), qui lui fait ganger une place dans l'équipe des championnats du monde.
Aux championnats du monde 2014 (Division 1), il aide la Slovénie à être promue.
Il a joué avec Tomaž Razingar et son vieux camarade Boštjan Goličič.
