Born in Glasgow, Scotland but grew up in Vilkaviskis, Lithuania, where his parents moved when Lithuania gained its independence in 1918. Went to Vilkaviskis state high school (Vilkaviškio Valstybinė gimnazija).
Very good athlete who played basketball, table tennis. Also competed in track and field. As a long jumper he jumped almost 6,50m.
Also an excellent football player who represented Lithuania in that sport as well.
Fled to Germany, and then moved to USA later on.
Became a US citizen in 1975, less than three years before he passed away.
Active in sports while in the Chicago area as well, mostly playing tennis.
Died of a stroke while playing tennis. Survived by his daughter and son. Buried at St.Casimir Cemetery in Chicago, Ill.
Distantively related to the late Hollywood actor Charles Bronson (born Karolis Bučinskas).

Il a fui en Allemagne, puis aux États-Unis. Devenu citoyen américain en 1975, moins de trois ans avant sa mort.
Très actif dans tous les sports dans la région de Chicago, il jouait notamment souvent au tennis.
Mort d'un AVC pendant une partie de tennis. Il laissa dans le deuil sa fille et son fils.
Enterré au cimetière St-Casimir de Chicago, Illinois.
Parent éloigné de l'ancien acteur hollywoodien Charles Bronson (né Karolis Bučinskas).
