Began ice hockey in Soběslav before playing for Písek as a junior. Came to České Budějovice at 17.
Good allround forward who could finish off plays effectively with a very powerful slapshot.
Also used as a defensive left wing, often used when killing penalties.
Not afraid to play physically, noted for his clean hits.
During his 19 seasons in the Czech league he won three league titles.
Represented the Czech Republic 100 times (21 goals).
Announced his retirement on April 12, 2012. Became a coach and sports manager in Budejovice.

Il a commencé à Soběslav, puis à Písek en junior, avant de rejoindre České Budějovice à 17 ans.
Bon attaquant complet, efficace à la finition avec sa puissance de slap.
Également utilisé comme ailier gauche défensif, souvent employé en infériorité numérique.
Il n'avait pas peur du jeu physique, réputé pour ses charges propres.
Durant ses 19 saisons en Extraliga, il remporta trois fois le titre de champion tchèque.
100 sélections tout rond en équipe tchèque (21 buts).
Il a annoncé sa retraite le 12 avril 2012. Devenu entraîneur et directeur sportif à Budejovice.
