Small and feisty player. Clever skater who handled the puck well in small areas of the ice.
Smart player and had an accurate wrist shot.
Scored two goals in his NHL debut and had six multiple-point games in his first three weeks. Nicknamed „Stick“ in North America.
Scored 411 (181+230) career points in 652 games.
Retired in 1998 and became a hockey coach. Inducted into the Russian Hockey Hall of Fame.

Joueur petit et fuyant. Patineur intelligent qui tenait bien le palet dans des petites surfaces de la glace.
Joueur futé possédant un lancer lourd et précis.
Il a marqué deux buts pour ses débuts en NHL et a connu six matchs à plusieurs points dans ses trois premières semaines. Surnommé "Stick" en Amérique du Nord.
Il compta dans sa carrière 411 (181+230) points en 652 matchs.
Retraité en 1998 et devint entraîneur. Intronisé au Hall of Fame du hockey russe.
