Older brother of Guido Botturi. Son of Amattore Botturi and Celina Capdevielle (Argentinian).
Guido was born in Brescia but was raised in Milan and Buenos Aires.
His father was a member of the City Council of San Francisco, Córdoba in Argentina (1894-99).
Guido was one of the ice hockey pioneers in Milano.
Captained the first-ever international Italian national team in 1924.
President and Vice President of HC Milano in the 1920 and 30s.
Worked as an advisor on the Italian ice hockey Federation.
Also worked as a referee, two of them were the first league finals where his brother Guido scored a hat trick in both.
He was described as an energetic and impartial referee.
Between 1924 and late 1932 he had played in 90 of HC Milano’s 120 games.
Moved to Buenos Aires in the 1930s and lived there until the 60s.
He was also a first rate polo player in Argentina and played for “Los Morteros”.

Son père était membre du Conseil municipal de San Francisco, Córdoba en Argentine (1894-99).
L'un des pionniers du hockey sur glace à Milan. Capitaine de la toute première sélection italienne internationale en 1924.

Il travailla comme conseiller pour la Fédération italienne de hockey sur glace.
Il travailla également comme arbitre, il fut d'ailleurs arbitre des premières finales du championnat où son frère Guido a inscrit deux fois un triplé.
Il fut décrit comme un arbitre énergique et impartial.
Entre 1924 et la fin de l'année 1932 il joua 90 des 120 matchs du HC Milan.
Il a déménagé Buenos Aires dans les années 1930 et y a vécu jusque dans les années 1960.
C'était aussi un joueur de polo de premier plan en Argentine, il jouait pour "Los Morteros".
