Began playing ice hockey at the age of six.
Played for Skeid, then Jar before coming to Gamlebyen IF 1964.
There he played until 1975 (changed its name to Forward in 1972).
Described himself as a goaltender with fast reflexes, sound positioning, quickness and strong on shots from close in. A little weaker on breakaways.
Worked as a sportsjournalist for “Aftenposten”. Was the editor of the Norwegian Automobile Association and its magazine “Motor” for ten years.
Editor in chief for “Det Norske Veritas” for 28 years.
Also involved as a boardmember with the Norwegian Ice Hockey Association and was the chief press secretary at the 1989 Pool B World Championships and at the ice hockey section for the 1994 Winter Olympics.
Became the President of the Norwegian Dance Federation with around 15000 members.

Il débuta le hockey sur glace à l'âge de six ans.
Il joua pour Skeid, puis Jar avant de rejoindre le Gamlebyen IF en 1964.
Il y joua jusqu'en 1975 (le club changea son nom en Forward en 1972).
Il se décrivait lui-même comme un gardien aux réflexes rapides, au positionnement intelligent, rapide et solide sur les lancers. Un peu faible en face-à-face.
Il travailla comme journaliste sportif à Aftenposten. Il fut éditeur pour l'Association Automobile Norvégienne et son magazine Motor pendant dix ans.
Rédacteur en chef de Det Norske Veritas pendant 28 ans.
Il fut également un membre dirigeant de la fédération norvégienne de hockey sur glace et chargé de la relation presse pour les Mondiaux B de 1989 et pour le hockey sur glace lors des JO d'hiver de 1994.
Il devint président de la Fédération norvégienne de danse qui compte environ 15000 membres.
