Was bothered by knee problems throughout his playing career. After he retired he received a titanium inplant in one of his knees.
Worked 20 years for Cominco, a mining company, until moving to management. Eventually retired after 37 years of service.

Travailla vingt ans pour une entreprise minière avant de se spécialiser dans le management.
