A goaltender with calm positioning. Good use of his big size (193 cm, 93 kg). Quick lateral moves. Very fast glove but weaker on the blocker's side. Good puckhandling.
Born in Munich from a Canadian father and a German-Canadian mother. Grew up in Burlington, ON.
Ontario Major Junior champion 2019 as Guelph Storm number two goaltender. During the off-season he trained a lot to lose more than 10 kg to get more agility. He elevated his level of play, won a WJC gold medal (again as a backup) and was named OHL goaltender of the year.
Made his professional debut in Germany as Ingolstadt second goaltender in 2020/21 thanks to his German passport.
Youngest goalie to debut in the NHL with the New Jersey Devils, at 20, on October 23, 2021 (in a 2-1 win vs Buffalo).

Gardien au positionnement sûr qui utilise très bien son grand gabarit (193 cm, 93 kg). Il se déplace vite d'un poteau à l'autre. Il a une mitaine très rapide mais est moins efficace côté bouclier. Il joue très bien le palet.
Né à Munich d'un père canadien et d'une mère canado-allemande, il grandit à Burlington au Canada.
Après avoir été champion de la ligue de l'Ontario 2019 comme second gardien du Storm de Guelph. Il travaille fort à l'intersaison, perd plus de 10 kilos pour gagner en agilité et change de niveau. Il est alors sacré meilleur gardien d'OHL en plus d'être champion du monde junior 2020 (toujours comme doublure).
Il fait ses débuts professionnels en Allemagne comme second gardien d'Ingolstadt en 2020/21 grâce à son passeport allemand.
Plus jeune gardien à débuter en NHL avec les Devils, à 20 ans, le 23 octobre 2021 (victoire 2-1 contre Buffalo).
