His parents fell in love with ice hockey when they saw Czechoslovakia-USSR in Grenoble Olympic Games in 1968. He joined the local club at only 3.
As he was junior national team player in 1985, he left Grenoble for neighbouring Villard to enable his brother Serge to become backup goaltender.
He came back three years later to become number 1 goaltender, with his brother as a teammate.
Voted as the best goaltender at the 1989 Pool B World Championships.
Won the Jean Ferrand Trophy as the best goaltender in France 1989/90.
His tonic style left him with recurring groin injury problems.
Became French champion with Grenoble in 1991, but the club went bankrupt and he had to leave for Bordeaux.
He retired one year later and came back to Grenoble as PR manager.
Worked in the Telecom business in later years as a marketing director in Annecy.

Ses parents se sont passionnés pour le hockey en assistant au Tchécoslovaquie-URSS des Jeux olympiques de Grenoble 1968. Il a commencé le hockey à seulement 3 ans.
Alors qu'il était international junior en 1985, il a quitté Grenoble pour le voisin Villard afin de laisser son frère Serge devenir le gardien n°2.
Il est revenu trois ans plus tard comme gardien n°1, avec son frère comme coéquipier.
Élu meilleur gardien du Mondial B 1989.
Trophée Jean Ferrand du meilleur gardien du championnat de France 1989/90.
Son style de jeu tonique lui a valu des blessures récurrentes aux adducteurs.
Il est devenu champion de France avec Grenoble en 1991, mais le club a fait faillite et il a dû partir pour Bordeaux.
Il a pris sa retraite un an plus tard et est revenu à Grenoble comme responsable de la communication.
Il a ensuite travaillé dans les télécoms comme directeur marketing à Annecy.
