A late-bloomer who almost stagnated in ECHL. He had played (part of) three NHL games with Ottawa between 2015 and 2017. As a free agent he joined the Florida Panthers organization in 2018 and improved his work ethic.
He payed more attention to detail. He learnt to move less, reduced his drifting and stabilized his game between the posts.
His decision-making improved a lot and he earned his spot in the NHL. Deep position in his net.
He got a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during 2022 World Championships final.
During his convalescence he produced a documentary film about an old cult roller-hockey league on California beaches.
He never recovered his mechanical mobility after his injury and couldn't keep his place in the NHL or even in the KHL.

Ce gardien de but a failli stagner en ECHL même s'il a partiellement joué trois matches de NHL avec Ottawa entre 2015 et 2017. Laissé libre, il a rejoint l'organisation des Panthers de Floride en 2018 et amélioré son éthique de travail.
Il a prêté plus attention aux détails. Il a calmé ses mouvements, réduisant sa dérive et stabilisant son jeu entre les poteaux.
Sa prise de décision s'est beaucoup améliorée et il a gagné sa place en NHL. Position enfoncée dans sa cage.
Il s'est malheureusement déchiré le ligament croisé antérieur du genou droit lors de la finale du championnat du monde 2022.
Comme il devait attendre six mois avant d'être autorisé à re-patiner, il a consacré sa convalescence à produire un documentaire sur une ancienne ligue culte de roller-hockey qui se jouait sur les plages californiennes avec des rampes au pied des balustrades derrière la cage.
Il ne retrouve jamais sa mécanique articulaire et sa mobilité après son opération, échouant à reprendre pied en NHL puis à s'imposer en KHL.
