Represented Romania more than 200 times.
Twice selected as the best goaltender at the Pool B World Championships.
Worked as an ice hockey coach after his playing career. Coached Dinamo Bucureşti between 1976-79.
Then coached Miercurea Ciuc before moving to Germany where he coached Nürnberg (1982-84) and other teams. Coached Bilbao in Spain 1984-86.
Later got a German citizenship and in 2002 he became a naturalized Swiss, living in Bern. In later years coached in Switzerland.

Sélectionné deux fois comme meilleur gardien du Mondial B.
Il a travaillé comme entraîneur après sa carrière de joueur. Coach du Dinamo Bucarest de 1976 à 1979.
Il a ensuite entraîné Miercurea Ciuc avant de partir en Allemagne où il a notamment entraîné Nuremberg (1982-84). Coach de Bilbao en Espagne de 1984 à 1986.
Il a ultérieurement pris la nationalité allemande et en 2002 il a été naturalisé suisse, en vivant à Berne. Il a continué à coacher en Suisse.
