Player with Italian roots. Older brother of Tony Esposito. Father-in-law of Russian ex-NHL’er Aleksandr Selivanov. Grew up idolizing Gordie Howe.
While he was not a fast or graceful skater, he was absolutely unmovable in front of the opposition net from which he could score from all angles.
Without a doubt one of the best slot men in hockey history.
Vocal leader with a strong personality. Not afraid to speak his mind. Retired in 1981.
Regarded John Ferguson as the toughest competitor he ever played against.
His number 7 jersey was retired by the Boston Bruins. Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Served as a head coach and General Manager in the NHL. Also worked as a color commentator in hockey.

Même s'il n'était pas le patineur le plus rapide ou le plus gracieux, il était absolutement impossible à déplacer devant le but adverse, d'où il pouvait marquer de tous les angles.
Sans aucun doute un des meilleurs joueurs de slot de l'histoire du hockey.
Leader vocal avec une forte personnalité. Il n'a pas peur de donner son avis. Retraité en 1981.
Il considérait John Ferguson comme l'adversaire le plus dur qu'il ait affronté.
Son maillot numéro 7 a été retiré par les Boston Bruins. Intronisé au Hall of Fame.
Il a été entraîneur et manager en NHL. Il a aussi travaillé comme consultant pour la télévision.
