Born in Indonesia but grew up in Haag (The Hague) where he learned to play ice hockey.
Scored 66 career goals in 121 games.
Was also an excellent field hockey player and represented Netherlands in that sport as well.
Moved to India in 1948 to work there.

Il est né en Indonesia mais a grandi à La Haye où il a appris le hockey sur glace.
Il a marqué 66 buts en 121 rencontres.
C'était aussi un excellent joueur de hockey sur gazon et il a également fait partie de l'équipe des Pays-Bas dans ce sport.
Il a déménagé en Inde en 1948 pour y travailler.
