On January 3, 1965 he made his league debut as a 15 year old. Started ice hockey the season before when Grenoble rink opened.
Ambitious player who trained a lot to improve on his skating in younger years.
Slept with France jersey when he got his first call with a national junior team.
In later years he said that one of his career highlights was to play against Maurice “Rocket” Richard in 1967 when the Rocket was touring France with an old timers team.
Youngest French ice hockey player at the Olympics at only 18. He was never called again afterwards.

Il débute en équipe première à 15 ans alors qu'il a commencé le hockey à peine un an plus tôt quand la patinoire Clémenceau a ouvert.
Joueur ambitieux qui s’est beaucoup entraîné jeune pour améliorer son patinage.
Il dort avec son maillot de l'équipe de France junior lors de sa première sélection.
Plus tard, il a dit que l’un de ses moments forts a été de jouer contre Maurice “Rocket” Richard en 1967 alors que le Rocket fait une tournée en France avec une équipe de vétérans.
Plus jeune hockeyeur français à participer aux Jeux olympiques à seulement 18 ans. Mais sa carrière internationale fut très rapide puisqu'il ne fut plus appelé par la suite.
