He started out playing locally and his first real club was Sila Giszowiec where he played in the 1940s. In 1949 he changed club to Górnik Janów (a town later merged into Katowice) where he stayed until the end of his career.
Viktor Gburek never won the Polish championship but picked up six medals.
Buried at the cemetery in Giszowiec.

Il commence à jouer localement et son premier vrai club est le Sila Giszowiec dans les années 1940. En 1949, il part au Górnik Janów (ville qui sera absorbée par Katowice en 1960) où il reste jusqu’à la fin de sa carrière.
Il n'a jamais gagné le championnat national mais a remporté 6 médialles.
Enterré au cimetière de Giszowiec.
