Was of Jewish origin. Noted as an excellent tactician. Represented Austria three times.
After a 10-year playing career with Wiener EV he switched to Pötzleindorfer SC in January 1925.
During the 1927/28 season Goldschmidt celebrated his 25th season and last season as a bandy and hockey player.
He owned a café in Vienna
He was also known as a good field hockey and football player.
Was an international ice hockey referee in the 1930s.

Après 10 ans au Wiener EV, il part au Pötzleindorfer SC en janvier 1925.
Pendant la saison 1927/28, il a célébré sa 25e et dernière saison en tant que joueur de bandy et de hockey.
Également connu comme un bon joueur de hockey sur gazon et de football.
Il était patron d'un café à Vienne.
Arbitre international de hockey dans les années 1930.
