The fastest skater of the 1920 Olympics. His incredible rushes made him a crowd favorite.
Used his speed to backcheck. Backchecking was also his main responsibility on the Falcons.
Was the Canadian speedskating champion.
His quickness almost ment that opponents tried to stop him in any way they could, resulting in more than 700 stitches in his face over the course of his playing career.
Moved to Florida in 1938 and founded Coral Gables Seminoles, a professional team.
He drove a laundry truck for 38 years before reluctantly retiring at the age of 84.
Last surviving member of the gold medal winning 1920 Winnipeg Falcons team, and was honored at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary.

Patineur le plus rapide aux JO de 1920, ses rushes incroyables en font le favori du public.
Utilisait sa rapidité pour revenir en zone défensive, ce qui était sa principale fonction chez les Falcons.
Il était le champion du Canada de patinage de vitesse.
Sa rapidité signifiait presque que ses adversaires essayaient de l’arrêter coûte que coûte, ce qui lui donne plus de 700 points de sutures dans son visage dans sa carrière.

Il a conduit un camion de pressing pendant 38 ans avant de prendre sa retraite à l’âge de 84 ans.
Dernier survivant de l’équipe gagnante en 1920 des Falcons de Winnipeg, il fut célébré aux JO de 1988 de Calgary.
