Goaltender with excellent reflexes and acrobatic style. Calm and patient between the pipes.
Had an entertaining and crowdpleasing way to play. His childhood idol was Rogatien Vachon.
Played in the 1984 Winter Olympics but almost didn’t play.
One day prior to the opening game, he and three teammates were declared ineligible to compete by the Games' governing body, the International Olympic Committee.
He was suddenly excluded from competition because he had previously signed a professional contract with the Quebec Nordiques. But after a day-long dispute, he was re-instated by the IOC.
Had a shutout in his NHL debut. Had nagging back and knee injuries.
Eventually had to retire in 1994 due to his bad knee.
Ran ice hockey schools after his playing career was over.

Avait une façon de jouer divertissante qui plaisait au public. Son idole de jeunesse était Rogatien Vachon.
Il a failli manquer les JO 1984. La veille du match d’ouverture, lui et trois coéquipiers ont été déclarés inéligibles par le Comité International Olympique.
Il fut soudainement exclu car il avait signé un contrat professionnel avec les Nordiques de Québec. Mais après des négociations, il fut réintégré par le CIO.
Blanchissage lors de son premier match NHL.
Avait un dos capricieux et des blessures au genou. A dû se retirer en 1994 à cause de son genou.
Il a dirigé des écoles de hockey après sa carrière de joueur.
241 parties de sa saison régulière de NHL avec 3,74 buts alloués par match et 87,1% d’arrêts.
