Was from the Swedish speaking community in Finland. Finland’s best player before WW II.
Also an excellent football player who represented Finland 12 times (2 goals).
In ice hockey he represented Finland 12 times (5 goals). Scored 31 (29+2) points in 27 league games.
Worked as a photoengraver.
During WW II he served with an anti-aircraft division and was killed during an aerial bombing on the Island of Miessaari just outside of Helsinki.
Buried in Helsinki (Hietaniemi). Inducted into the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame.

Également un très bon joueur de football qui compte 12 sélections avec la Finlande (2 buts).
12 sélections aussi en équipe de Finlande de hockey sur glace (5 buts). Il a marqué 31 (29+2) points en 27 matchs de championnat.
Il travaillait comme photograveur.
Durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, il a servi dans une unité anti-aérienne et fut tué durant un raid aérien sur l’île de Miessaari, à côté d'Helsinki.
Enterré à Helsinki (Hietaniemi). Introduit au Temple de la renommée du hockey finlandais.
