Good sized defenseman who had a long and distinguished playing career. Known primarily to have been a defenseman who could play both ways. Had a good shot, but could have used it more often than he did. Spent the majority (20 seasons) playing for HV-71 Jönköping, winning four championships with the team.
Scored 483 (169+314) career points in 1034 games. Was bothered by a nagging rib injury during the 2009/10 season, came back but retired shortly thereafter. Had his number 7 jersey retired by HV-71.

Défenseur de forte carrure (1,91m, 93kgs) qui réalisa une carrière honorable principalement au service du HV71 Jonköping, club qu'il représenta pendant vingt saisons, entre 1988 et 2010, coupées par un passage de deux ans (1996-1998) en NHL (Panthers, Maple Leafs, Senators). Ce quadruple champion de Suède était réputé comme un défenseur offensif au bon tir, mais qu'il utilisait trop peu souvent.
Ainsi, il en resta à 483 points (169+314) en 1034 matches officiels. Une blessure récurrente aux côtes contractée pendant la saison 2009-2010 le força à se retirer. Autre retrait, celui de son numéro 7 dans la galerie du HV71.
