Born in Tomakomai about 50 miles (80km) south of Sapporo on the Island of Hokkaido. Was the backup to Teiji Honma, the man that has been immortalized for wearing a cage mask during the 1936 Olympics. Was an acrobatic and very agile goaltender. Worked as a clerk at the Oji factory.

Né sur l'île septentrionale d'Hokkaido, à Tomakomai (80km au sud de Sapporo). Remplaçant de Teiji Honma, le gardien resté célèbre pour avoir porté un masque grillagé lors des JO 1936. Hiramoto lui-même était un gardien acrobatique et agile. Hors de la glace, il était employé des usines Oji spécialisées dans la fabrication de papier.
