Kenny Kane

Kane, Joseph Kenneth

Position : C/LW/RW

14-05-1905 Montréal, QC, CAN
18-06-1979 Peterborough, ON, CAN

Was primarily a center but could also play on both wings. Was the star player on the Toronto Nationals team that defended the Canadian colours at the 1933 World Championships. Was suspended from league play just prior to the 1933 World Championships for physically abusing a referee.
He wasn’t particularly fast on his skates but had a feared shot and liked to play physical. Was a crowdpleaser and did a lot of showboating during the 1933 World Championships, quickly becoming the most popular player among the fans who watched the games. An incorrect birthdate given for him is May 17, 1905.
