Noted as a stick-handling wizard and nifty playmaker.
Formed a great high-scoring duo with Paul Rowe while playing for the Boston University Terriers in the 1930s.
The third player on that line was Russell Smith.
He scored a total of 54 points (36+18) in 34 games for BU. Served as co-captain in 1934/35.
Both Lax and Rowe were chosen to represent United States at the 1936 Olympics.
Johnny Lax passed away one week before his 90th birthday.
