Both of his parents were natives of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, just like Robert Le Cron.
His family from the paternal side emigrated from Rheinland-Pfalz and Baden-Württemberg in Germany during the 1700s, and some relatives were born in France during the 1600s.
Robert Le Cron was noted for his great shot, although a bit inaccurate.
He was difficult to stop when he came in full stride and very effective on the ice.
Studied dentistry in St. Louis and was also a noted athlete in the city.
Captained the Marion-Sims College of Medicine in football.
An excellent overall athlete, who aside from (American) football and ice hockey, also was a fine shot puter, golf and tennis player.
Le Cron was part of the strongest ice hockey team in St. Louis both in 1901/02 and 1902/03.
In his first season he captained the Association Football Hockey Club, and the following season he suited up for the World’s Fair ice hockey team, scoring a lot of goals in both seasons.
He came to England in June 1908 to continue his studies in dentistry.
In the late 1920s he became the personal dentist to the King of England (Edward VIII) and Prince of Wales, both of whom by the way played ice hockey as well.
Passed away at 140 Park Lane, London as a result of of Myocardial degeneration. Buried at Brockwood cemetery in Surrey, England.
At the time of his death he was survived by two sisters, Ruth (Maine) and Osceola "Ola" (Florida), plus one daughter, Suzanne who lived in Beverly Hills, California at the time.
Robert Le Cron left behind more than £ 57,000 in his will.

Ses parents étaient tout comme lui natifs de Waynesboro, en Pennsylvanie.
Sa famille paternelle émigra de Rhénanie-Palatinat et du Bade-Wurtemberg en Allemagne au XVIIIe siècle, et certains de ses ancêtres sont nés en France du XVIIe siècle.
Robert Le Cron était connu pour son gros lancer, mais pas toujours précis.
Il était difficile à stopper quand il arrivait à pleine vitesse, et était très efficace sur la glace.
Il étudia les soins dentaires à Saint-Louis où il était connu pour son talent au sport.
Capitaine de l'équipe du Marion-Sims College of Medicine au football américain.
Excellent sportif qui, en plus du football américain et du hockey, était bon au lancer du poids, au golf et au tennis.
Le Cron marqua de nombreux buts pour les meilleurs clubs de hockey de Saint-Louis : en 1901/02 il était capitaine du Association Football Hockey Club et à partir de 1902/03 il rejoignit le World's Fair, club nouvellement créé pour promouvoir l'exposition universelle de 1904 à Saint-Louis.
Il arriva en Angleterre en juin 1908 pour parfaire ses études de dentiste.
À la fin des années 1920, il devint le dentiste personnel du roi d'Angleterre (Édouard VIII) et du Prince de Galles, qui ont d'ailleurs joué eux-mêmes au hockey sur glace.
Décédé au 140 Park Lane, à Londres, des suites d'une dégénérescence du myocarde. Enterré au cimetière de Brockwood à Surrey, en Angleterre.
Au moment de son décès il laissa deux soeurs, Ruth (dans le Maine) et Osceola "Ola" (en Floride), ainsi qu'une fille, Suzanne, qui vivait à Beverly Hills, en Californie.
Robert Le Cron laissa un héritage de 57,000 livres sterling dans son testament.
