Had great speed and was regarded as one of the smartest amateur players in Canada when he played.
Formed a superb offensive duo together with his younger brother Tony. They were also best friends off the ice.
While being the league leading scorer and playing coach for the St.Hyacinthe Gaulois in 1939/40 he met his future wife there.
When he married in 1940 it was naturally his brother who was the groomsman.
At St.Hyacinthe he formed a great line with his brother and Gordie Poirier as they had 237 points in 41 games.
Almost signed an NHL contract with Montreal Canadiens in 1943.
Retired in 1944 and went on to coach in hockey.
In 1947/48 he coached the Hull Volants junior team.

Il possédait une grande vitesse et était considéré comme l'un des joueurs les plus intelligents du circuit amateur canadien.
Il formait un excellent duo offensif avec son petit frère Tony. Ils étaient également les meilleurs comparses en dehors de la glace.

Il fut proche de signer un contrat dans la NHL avec les Canadiens de Montréal en 1943.
Il prit sa retraite en 1944 et devint entraîneur, notamment auprès de l'équipe junior des Volants de Hull en 1947/48.
