Graduated from high school and then studied at the institute of Slavic studies at the Jan Kazimierz University.
He later worked for an insurance company.
Was a versatile athlete who excelled in many different sports like track and field, tennis, swimming and skiing.
But he was most prominent in football and ice hockey.
In football he was mainly a defender and played more than 100 league games.
In ice hockey he won the Polish championships in 1935 and 1946.
Played as a right wing, but shifted to defense and played there for the most part of his career.
Member of the Czarni Lwów team way back in 1926.
Represented Poland in ice hockey on 15 occasions.
Was on the Polish national team for the 1936 Olympics, but never dressed for any games.
After the war he settled in Tarnów where he worked as a playing football coach for many years.
From the mid-fifties he devoted himself entirely to training.
He was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Medal of OOP and POC.

Après avoir optenu le diplôme d'études secondaires, il étudia à l'institut de Slavic au sein de l'université Jan Kazimierz.
Il travailla ensuite dans une compagnie d'assurances.
Athlète complet qui excellait dans de nombreux sports tels que l'athlétisme, le tennis, la natation ou le ski.
Mais il se distinguait particulièrement au football et au hockey.
En football il était défenseur et prit part à plus de 100 matchs de championnat.
En hockey sur glace il remporta le championnat de Pologne en 1935 et 1946.
Il jouait sur l'aile droite à l'origine, mais passa en défense et y joua la majeure partie de sa carrière.
Membre de l'équipe du Czarni Lwów dès 1926.
International polonais (en hockey sur glace) à 15 occasions.
Il fut dans la sélection pour les Jeux de 1936, mais ne prit part à aucune rencontre.
Après la guerre il s'établit à Tarnów où il devint entraîneur de l'équipe de football durant de nombreuses années.
À partir du milieu des années 1950, il se consacra entièrement à la formation.
Il fut récompensé de la médaille de chevalier de la croix pour l'OOP et POC.
