Physical defenseman who endured a lot of injuries thanks to his robust style of play.
Wasn’t particularly big but never hesitated to get into the thick of things. Powerplay quarterback.
Fine hockey sense and was also known to have a very hard shot from the point.
Formed a very good defensive tandem together with Göran Lindblom.
Had more than 20 knee operations, one back operation and one heart operation.
Born and raised in Skellefteå where he won a league title in 1978. Went to Björklöven in 1979 and played seven seasons there.
Represented Sweden 25 times. First emerged as a reserve player at the 1979 Izvestia tournament.
Considered the 5-6 loss to Canada in the 1984 Canada Cup tournament as one of his highlights.
Retired in 1988 and then worked as an assistant coach in Björlöven, resulting in him dressing for two games due to injuries.
Went on to work as a strategic investment coordinator for Skellefteå Kraft, a municipality-owned power company.

Défenseur physique qui connut de nombreuses blessures dans sa carrière du fait de son jeu robuste.
Pas particulièrement massif mais il n'hésitait jamais à entrer au contact.
Organisateur du jeu de puissance. Bon sens du hockey, lancer redouté de la ligne bleue.
Il formait un excellent duo défensif avec Göran Lindblom.
Il a connu 20 opérations du genou, une du dos et une du cœur.
Né et formé à Skellefteå, où il fut champion en 1978, il arriva à Björklöven en 1979 et y joua sept saisons.
25 sélections avec l'équipe de Suède. Première apparition en 1979 comme réserviste pour le tournoi des Izvestia.
Il considère la défaite 5-6 contre le Canada lors de la Coupe Canada 1984 comme l'un des plus grands moments de sa carrière.
Retraité en 1988, il devint entraîneur-adjoint à Björlöven, où il fut aligné à nouveau pour deux matchs pour pallier des blessures.
Devenu coordinateur en investissement stratégique pour Skellefteå Kraft, la compagnie municipale d'électricité.
