His father Lloyd was a good high school hockey player, but was an even better baseball player, and was in fact drafted by New York Giants as a pitcher. The elder Lundeen wished that his sons would play baseball.
Instead they became one of Minneapolis' most accomplished hockey brothers ever. Five brothers, Bob, Paul, Tom, Dave and Charlie, all played University hockey.
Good rushing defenseman who often used his fine skating to his advantage.
Also had a good shot which he used quite often, especially on powerplays
In 1970 Bob Lundeen scored the State Championship winning goal in OT.
Was drafted in the NHL 1972 but never played in the league.
Retired from hockey in 1978 after one season in Sweden. Assistant coach in high school at Minnesota High.

Son père Lloyd, bon hockeyeur au lycée, était encore meilleur joueur de baseball, sport où il fut drafté par les New York Giants au poste de pitcher.
Il souhaitait que ses fils deviennent joueurs de baseball, mais ils devinrent une des plus célèbres fratries du hockey de Minneapolis. Cinq frères, l'aîné Bob, mais aussi Paul, Tom, Dave et Charlie, jouèrent tous au hockey en université.
Bob était un défenseur qui remontait la glace en tirant profit de son excellent patinage.
Il possédait également un bon lancer qu'il utilisait assez souvent, surtout en supériorité numérique.
En 1970 Bob Lundeen a inscrit en prolongation le but vainqueur adjugeant le titre du championnat de l'État.
Drafté en NHL en 1972, il n'a jamais joué dans la grande ligue.
Retraité en 1978 après une saison passée en Suède. Devenu assistant coach au lycée de Minnesota High.
