He started out as a wrestler before shifting to ice hockey as a 13-year old with Kiruna AIF.
Grew up idolizing Garvis Määttä. Had winner written all over him as he hated to lose.
Won nine Swedish league titles. Had fine leadership qualities.
Was already put on the Detroit Red Wings negotiation list in 1965 and attended their training camp in 1973.
Retired during the 1979/80 season.
Stayed involved in hockey as a coach and manager.
Inducted into the IIHF and Swedish Hockey Hall of Fame.
Became a real estate manager for Gävlefastigheter in Gävle.

Il a d'abord commencé par la lutte avant de passer au hockey à 13 ans pour le Kiruna AIF.
Il a grandi avec Garvis Määttä pour idole. Un gagnant par nature, il avait la défaite en horreur.
Neuf fois champion de Suède. De bonnes qualités de meneur d'hommes.
Placé sur leur liste de négociation par les Red Wings de Detroit dès 1965, il prit part à leur camp d'entraînement en 1973.
Après sa retraite durant la saison 1979/80, il est resté impliqué dans le hockey en tant qu'entraîneur et manager.
Intronisé au Hall of Fame de l'IIHF et du hockey suédois.
Directeur en gestion immobilière pour Gävlefastigheter à Gävle.
2 points (1+1) en 11 parties dans la NHL.
