Raised at the Kungsholmen part of Stockholm and attended Kristinebergsskolan for whom he played as a junior.
His athletic teacher there was a five time Olympic medalist Edvin Wide.
He was good at clearing traffic in front of the goal.
Fine skater and had pretty good puck control.
Won six straight league championships with Djurgårdens IF.
Formed a defensive tandem with Eddie Wingren in Djurgården. Represented Sweden 33 times.
Also was a decent football player but quit that sport at the age of 21.
Worked as a weather man at SMHI (Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute) in the 1950s.
After his retirement as a player he coached hockey both at the junior and senior level until the late 1970s.

Il a grandi dans le quartier Kungsholmen de Stockholm et rejoignait la Kristinebergsskolan où il a joué en junior.
Son professeur d'éducation physique était le quintuple médaillé olympique Edvin Wide.
Il était bon pour faire le ménage devant la cage. Bon patineur avec un bon contrôle du palet.
Six fois champion à la suite avec le Djurgårdens IF, il y formait un tandem défensif avec Eddie Wingren.
33 sélections en équipe de Suède. Également un bon joueur de football, il arrêta ce sport à 21 ans.
Il fut météorologue au SMHI (Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute) dans les années 1950.
Après sa retraite de joueur il devint entraîneur junior et senior jusqu'à la fin des années 1970.
