Miele went undrafted in the NHL-draft due to his small size. He won the Hobey Baker Award as the top NCAA player in 2011. This earned him an NHL-contract with Phoenix Coyotes that same year.
Used both as a center and wing. Very good hands. A passer with a great hockey IQ.
Never afraid of going into high-traffic areas despite lack of size.
Always needed more strength in order to thrive in the pro game.
Spent three seasons in Sweden and three years in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.

Non drafté en NHL du fait de sa petite taille (1,71 m), Miele a remporté le trophée Hobey Baker de meilleur joueur universitaire en 2011. Cela lui fit obtenir un contrat NHL auprès des Coyotes de Phoenix la même année.
