He was the son of Robert Ernest Morris [1868-1960] and Annie May Rogers [1968-1951]. He had three sisters and three brothers.
His oldest brother, Erle was killed in a railway accident in 1912 when he was only 18 years old.
Frank Morris not only played hockey, but he was also a good football (American) player.
In civilian life he worked for the Hudson Bay Company and also played ice hockey for them.
Was hired as the playing coach by the Swiss club Zürcher SC in 1931/32.
Popular and well-liked player during his stint in Europe.
On October 1943, tragedy struck Frank Morris and his wife. Their son, Robert "Bobby" George Morris [1935-1943] was run over by a coal truck.
Bobby was one of the first patients in Winnipeg to receive penicillin. He was treated for almost one month but eventually died on November 12.

Il a été traité pendant plus d'un mois à la pénicilline, l'un des premiers patients de Winnipeg à recevoir ce traitement, avant de décéder le 12 novembre.
