Good mobility and intelligence from behind the blue-line. Useful on power plays.
Lacked a consistent physical dimension to his game.
In 2000 he won the Hobey Baker Award, given to the top college player in the country.
In 2011/12 he played briefly with Boston Bruins, his favourite team growing up.
Announced his retirement on August 20, 2014. Went on to work for Chicago in the NHL as a pro scout.
Also worked in wealth management with Morgan Stanley.
