Defensive-minded blueliner who rarely made any mistakes. Good at covering the angles. Used his size well and wasn’t afraid to block shots.
Effective at clearing the puck in front of the net. Not the best skater or stickhandler.
Served 30-game suspension in the NHL for possession of marijuana and hashish during the 1983/84 season.
Retired on October 8, 1993 after trying out with the Detroit Red Wings. Went on to coach in hockey. Also owner of a Nat’s Pizza in Hamilton.
Nattress was also a radio (Sportsnet 590 The Fan) co-host of Blue & White Tonight, a post-game show after every Toronto Maple Leafs game.

Défenseur défensif aux erreurs rares. Il couvrait bien ses angles, utilisait son gabarit (190 cm, 95 kg) et ne craignait pas de bloquer des tirs.
Efficace pour dégager le palet devant son but. Pas le meilleur patineur ou technicien avec sa crosse.
Il a été suspendu pour 30 rencontres par la NHL pour possession de marijuana et haschich au cours de la saison 1983/84.
Retraité le 8 octobre 1993 après un essai avec les Detroit Red Wings. Devenu entraîneur de hockey, mais aussi propriétaire d'un Nat’s Pizza à Hamilton.
Nattress co-animait aussi sur Sportsnet 590 The Fan l'émission de radio Blue & White Tonight après chaque match des Toronto Maple Leafs.
