Paccard first emerged as the goaltender for the Chamonix second team in 1931/32.
Between 1933 and 1944 he was consistently the number one goalie in Chamonix, posting a goal against average of 2,93.
He also led his team to four French league titles.
Paccard who catched with his right hand, liked to challenge the shooters.
Paccard was in goal during France opening game against Canada at the 1937 World Championships, a 0-12 loss. Despite the high score Paccard played phenomenally in goal. After the second period the speaker asked the crowd to give the heroic Paccard a “special cheer”, which he got. After the game a hord of young female fans flocked around Paccard to sign their programs.
He was a plumber and zinc worker. Married Germaine Angeline Frasserand [1914-2006] in 1938.

Paccard a fait ses débuts comme gardien de but de l'équipe réserve de Chamonix en 1931/32.
Entre 1933 et 1944, il fut le gardien numéro un de Chamonix, affichant une moyenne de 2,93 buts encaissés par match.
Il a également mené son équipe à quatre titres de champion de France.
Paccard, qui attrapait le palet de la main droite, aimait défier les tireurs.
Dans les buts lors du match d'ouverture de la France contre le Canada aux Championnats du monde de 1937, une défaite 0-12. Malgré le score élevé, Paccard a joué de manière phénoménale dans les buts. Après la deuxième période, le speaker a demandé à la foule - et obtenu - une acclamation particulière pour l'héroïque Paccard. Après le match, une horde de jeunes supportrices s'est rassemblée autour de Paccard pour lui faire signer leur programme.
Il était plombier-zingueur. Marié avec Germaine Angeline Frasserand [1914-2006] en 1938.
