Born and grew up in Switzerland. Had a dual citizenship (both Swiss and Italian).
He also represented Switzerland with their B-team once.
Was for many years one of the mainstays on the Italian national team.
Consistent player who seldom made any mistakes.
Had great speed in younger years but switched to defense later on when he lost a step.

Il est né et a grandi en Suisse, possédant la double nationalité italienne et suisse.
Il fut d'ailleurs sélectionné avec la Suisse B.
Durant de nombreuses années, il fut l'un des piliers de la sélection italienne.
Joueur régulier qui ne faisait pratiquement jamais d'erreurs.
De très grande vitesse dans sa jeunesse, il passa en défense plus tard lorsqu'il pouvait moins la faire parler.
