Excellent skater. Good skills and not afraid to jump into the play offensively.
Met his wife - who is from Denver - during his five-year tenure in North America.
During Olympic qualification tournament 2024 in Aalborg, Markus and his brother had their mother's name on their jerseys and on the game sheets because they wanted to honor her as she was very ill.

Il a rencontré son épouse - qui est de Denver - pendant ses cinq saisons en Amérique du Nord.
Lors du tournoi de qualification olympique 2024 à Aalborg, Markus et son frère ont porté - sur leur maillot comme sur les feuilles de match - le nom de leur mère, Holton, pour lui rendre hommage alors qu'elle était très malade.
