Menés 2 victoires à 0, les Bavarois au pied du mur ont remporté le match 3 devant 3448 spectateurs. Ils déplacent ensuite à Berlin plusieurs centaines de supporters qui célèbrent le but gagnant de Luis Schabengraber à dix minutes de la fin. Lorsque le capitaine Finn Teubner soulève le trophée de champion, il s'agit du premier titre de l'EVL en junior depuis 43 ans, et un beau retour au sommet. Personne ne s'y attendait en novembre quand le coach Ales Jirik a repris l'équipe en mains avec Sebastian Osterloh après la mise à l'écart de Michael Holzek. Deux joueurs de Landshut, Tobias Schwarz et Simon Seidl, font ensuite remonter l'Allemagne dans l'élite mondiale des moins de 18 ans.
