A versatile forward with good skating technique and decent stickhandling skills.
Started ice hockey in Székely Land (Romanian mountain region inhabited by ethnic Hungarians).
At 14 he went to Székesfehérvár, Hungary, and began his professional career there as a fourth line winger.
Scored the first Hungarian goal in his first World Championship but got a puck in the face in the sixth game.
Came back to his native Gheorgheni (Gyergyószentmiklós in Hungarian) to get more ice time.

Attaquant polyvalent avec une bonne technique de patinage et des bases techniques.
Il a commencé le hockey dans le pays sicule (région montagneuse de Roumanie peuplée de Hongrois).
À 14 ans il est allé à Székesfehérvár, ville-phare du hockey hongrois, où il fera son trou en équipe senior sur la quatrième ligne.
Il a débloqué le compteur hongrois à son premier Mondial, achevé en prenant un palet dans le visage au sixième match.
Rentré alors dans sa ville natale de Gheorgheni (Gyergyószentmiklós en hongrois) pour gagner en temps de jeu.
