Born in Csepel, in the southern parts of Budapest.
Reliable defenseman with good allround abilities. Tough and didn’t shy away from physical contact.
Began playing in 1952 for Budapest Postás with a one year stop at Törekvés 1955/56.
Continued his career playing for Budapest Vasutas SC from 1956 to 1969.
Never won the championship but finished as the runner-up on five occasions.
Represented Hungary 55 times. Coached the Hungarian national team in 1979.
Made a brief comeback in 1981/82, playing for Temaforg (Div.2).
Had a university degree and worked in the railways as an engineer.
Inducted into the Hungarian Hockey Sports Hall of Fame.

Défenseur fiable et complet. Robuste et n'hésitant pas à aller au contact physique.
Commença à jouer en 1952 pour Budapest Postás puis après une année d'arrêt à Törekvés 1955/56, et treize ans pour Budapest Vasutas SC.
Jamais champion mais cinq fois vice-champion. 55 sélections en équipe de Hongrie.
Entraîneur de l'équipe nationale de Hongrie au Mondial B 1979.
Bref retour comme joueur en 1981/82, pour Temaforg en Division 2.
Titulaire d'un diplôme universitaire, il travailla en tant qu'ingénieur ferroviaire.
Intronisé au Hungarian Hockey Sports Hall of Fame.
