Zalog ice hall (Slavija Ljubljana home rink) was only a four-minute walk away from his home.
He got his whole education with his home club and debuted with the senior team at 16.
Skipped a year in elementary school and graduated from high school one year earlier. Fully devoted to pro hockey when he joined Olimpija at 18.

La Dvorana Zalog (la patinoire du Slavija Ljubljana) est à quatre minutes à pied de chez lui.
Il a naturellement passé toute sa formation au HK Slavija où il a débuté en senior à 16 ans.
Ayant sauté une classe à l'école primaire, il passe son bac avec un an d'avance. À 18 ans il est embauché par l'Olimpija entraîné par Mitja Šivic et se consacre entièrement au hockey professionnel.
